Hands down the best server I've ever played and one that I'll be sticking with until the end. I've been looking for a server with these settings for a long time. No customs, no QoL @commands, no donation items, and more importantly, NO MULTI CLIENTS. The owner is adamant on staying true to this path. This allows all players the chance to experience, or even re-experience, what RO was like back in the day. Come join us on this journey while the current episode is still early!

I’ve been playing on the server for about 5 months, and can attest to the GM’s thin skin. Regarding the anti-LGBT comments, he basically tried to draw false equivalencies between one member’s suggestion that we execute gays and another suggesting “we should try to be less anti-LGBT?”. In general, the GM expects players to have a thick skin (as he is mostly unwilling to moderate the discord), but he is quite sensitive himself and bans people when they suggest he do better.

GM bans multiple LGBT people without warning for raising valid concerns and arguments about inclusivity. Meanwhile, he allows users to continue posting for days about [offensive material removed in review] stuff. Very clear where the politics of the leadership of this server lie. Server owner is... Well, you have to see this crap to believe it. imgur.com/a/IkydfAL I come to bat for same-sex marriage and it gets jumped on by trolls, one of whom literally says no thanks, kill the gays. What does Lord J do? Deletes my posts pointing to all of the successful low-rate servers accommodating the LGBT gamer community and leaves the homophobic crap. Red flag, LGBT/allied gamers stay FAR away. Toxicity towards you is formally tolerated here.

The server was created with a good concept and have a very friendly yet tiny community. I havent had any problems with lag or dc, so can't complain about that either. The huge deal breaker is the admin, though. He makes arbitrary changes to a server that was supposed to be as faithful as possible to the official servers. Doesn't fix many game breaking bugs in the server because "thats how the emulator is" and is uncapable of hearing any criticism. Don't waste your time with this server.

Constantly growing player count. Began in September 2020. Progressive episodes. Stopping before the renewal patch. No multi-clienting. People actually play together. No paying for advantages. This server is completely fair for all players. Hosted on the East coast of North America. The leader rapidly supports the community and addresses any issues. Everyone is friendly. You must receive a text message to register your account (anti-multi-clienting measure), but the phone numbers are not stored.

I have really enjoyed the experience so far on this server. The community is great so far and I honestly missed the official servers at the 1x rate. Its still growing, but if you like the idea of joining the new frontier to the old ways I'd say give it a try. Its a grind! But its the most nostalgic grind I still love today.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being on this sever -- the staff is helpful and the players are friendly. The Discord is extremely active and there exists a strong sense of community. Although the population size was small when I first joined (50 or so people on average), I have noticed a steady gain in number of players. Multi-clienting is not allowed so the number of players is representative of the actual number of people who are actively playing.

I started playing about 2 weeks ago. So far everyone I have met is very nice. The grind is real but it feels satisfying when you level up. Currently training my first character to participate in the imminent WoE release. I have played many private servers before but this one reminds me of the good ol days. The only negatives I can think of are some graphical issues and that first getting the client running might be a bit challenging for less tech savvy players. Join discord for assistance!

Was looking for a server that is like the original RO. We came across Ragnarok Travels and love it. It's just as grindy and rewarding as the original. Me and a friend who played back in the days of 56k wanted something that wasn't the Steam's version of this game. And this server is definitely nostalgia filling. The only thing the server would need IMHO is more players. I've been helped my so many from simple things to hard things like the Knight Change Quest Chain. Great server and community!!!
